Health make.opendata.ch Hackdays: Open Data for Our Healthcare System

Health is increasingly also a question of data: our healthcare system is in the midst of a data revolution. This not only makes everything more complex, but also makes a lot more understandable – provided the data is freely available and usable.

With the make.opendata.ch Hackdays, held every six months, the growing Swiss open data community has shown what is possible with open data in the fields of mobility and public budgets. On 28 and 29 September 2012, developers, designers, experts and citizens of all kinds will now meet simultaneously at Unternehmen Mitte in Basel and at the HEAD art school in Geneva to work with open data on practical apps and exciting visualisations on the topic of health.

On Thursday, 27 September, at 7.30 pm, the TagesWoche, together with the Opendata.ch association, is organising a panel discussion, also at Unternehmen Mitte in Basel, to introduce the topic of “open data” to a wider audience.

The Hackdays begin on Friday, 28 September, at 9.00 am and end with the final presentation on Saturday, 29 September, at 4.00 pm. Those interested can now register for the Hackdays at: http://make.opendata.ch
