Adventure, travel, holidays, vacations – words that make our hearts beat faster. That is why we are especially pleased to announce the MAKE Open Tourism Data Hackdays 2017.

As is well known, our association pursues 3 overarching goals: transparency, innovation and efficiency. While we devoted the Election Hackdays in 2015 to transparency and the Energy Hackdays in 2016 to efficiency, this autumn is all about innovation – more precisely, innovation in tourism.

2017 results at a glance

On 27 and 28 October 2017 we look forward to welcoming you – developers, designers, tourism enthusiasts and anyone interested – at the Sport- und Kongresszentrum in Arosa, where we will all develop innovative ideas together for the tourist office and the tourist destination of the future.

Presenting ideas & data

Right at the start of the event, datasets and ideas can be presented. Even before the event, we are collecting your project ideas here and interesting datasets here.

Saturday:
Mapathon

On Saturday you have the unique opportunity to work with Open Street Map experts to extend the maps of Arosa and record all the information that is of interest to tourists - for example viewpoints, benches for a rest, public fireplaces or toilets. The whole thing takes place outdoors and there are (almost) no limits to your imagination 😉

The Tourism Hackdays take place at the “Sport- und Kongresszentrum” in 7050 Arosa. Here are directions from Arosa railway station to the venue:

We will be staying at the Hotel Sunstar in Arosa, Seewaldweg, 7050 Arosa. The hotel is about a 15-minute walk from the venue. Single, double, triple and quadruple rooms with private bathroom are available. You can check in as early as Friday afternoon. Just give your name at reception and you will receive your key.
