make.opendata.ch Research Hackdays 2015

On 5 and 6 June 2015, Opendata.ch invites all researchers and specialists, designers, programmers, journalists and other creative people who enjoy experimenting to the make.opendata.ch Research Hackdays in Zurich and Lausanne. The two-day creative event will focus on open research data from a wide range of scientific fields – and on the question of how the huge potential of open data can also be realised in research.
As part of the Open Research Data project of the SUC-P2 programme of the Swiss University Conference, openresearchdata.ch is being built as Switzerland’s first publication platform for open research data. The Hackdays offer the first opportunity to get to know how the platform works and what it offers in detail. In addition, the institutions participating in the project (FORS, Digital Humanities Lab of the University of Basel, ETH SIS/ Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics) and other participants from the research community will make exciting datasets from their scientific fields freely available, ready for further creative and scientific use
The teams of openresearchdata.ch and Opendata.ch therefore ask you to note the following date and details, and look forward to lively participation:

- Where: in parallel in Lausanne (FORS) and Zurich (ETH Zentrum)
