Talks with Federal Councillor Alain Berset on open government data

This August, the Parliamentary Group for Digital Sustainability Parldigi and the association Opendata.ch sent a letter to Federal Councillor Alain Berset, head of the Federal Department of Home Affairs FDHA. The aim was to hold a personal exchange on open government data with regard to the Confederation’s current austerity policy, the revision of the Meteorology Act (MetG) and other topics. Yesterday the meeting took place between Federal Councillor Berset and senior staff of the department and the Parldigi/Opendata.ch delegation, consisting of National Councillors Edith Graf-Litscher (SP, TG), Christian Wasserfallen (FDP, BE), Balthasar Glättli (Greens, ZH) and Kathy Rikli (CVP, ZH) as well as André Golliez (President of Opendata.ch), Hannes Gassert (Vice-President of Opendata.ch) and Matthias Stürmer (Managing Director of Parldigi).
