#supportus Join the Board / Become a member of the Board

For the next elections we are looking for candidates for a partial renewal of the Board:

To complement the Board, we are looking in particular for representatives from French-speaking Switzerland, from Ticino and from the higher education sector – ideally a combination of these characteristics. In this way we would like to anchor the idea of open data more firmly in French- and Italian-speaking Switzerland and expand our activities. We are interested in directly involving universities because, on the one hand, we also want to place greater emphasis on the idea of open research data and, on the other, we want to promote the use of open data. In particular, we would appreciate hearing from women, in order to counter the gender gap in this field.

On the occasion of the upcoming elections for the partial renewal of the Board of the opendata.ch association, we are launching a call for candidates! To complete and balance the Board, we are explicitly looking for candidates from French-speaking Switzerland, from Ticino and/or from the university or higher education sector. In this way we wish to further develop our activities throughout Switzerland and to anchor the topic of open data there.
We also seek to support and improve access to, openness of and free use of data for and in research, and therefore hope for closer ties and better collaboration with the academic world. Applications from women are particularly welcome: let us work together to involve everyone in this field.
