Help shape the Opendata.ch/2019 Forum as a volunteer

This year’s open data gathering on 4 July will be an enriching experience for all participants and for us organisers alike. Our ambition is to set a new conference standard in Switzerland for exchange and practical action in a large group.

To make the Forum a success for all participants, we need your help. This is how you can support our goal as a volunteer:

on the eve (3 July)

• set up the conference venue at SBB headquarters in Bern-Wankdorf together with the organising team
• discuss the final details over a shared dinner

on the day of the Forum (4 July)

• give the conference venue the last necessary finishing touches together with the organising team
• welcome participants and brief them on the venue and schedule
• take minutes of the group discussions in the parallel thematic sessions, to record the insights and lay the foundation for further action
• support the running of the parallel thematic sessions
• and above all: bring your own questions and needs to the Forum!

In return for your help, we can offer you the following:

• a free ticket
• insight into / participation in up to four parallel group discussions (45 min. each) on the questions and needs that concern participants most
• first experience with Liberating Structures methods (innovative collaboration structures)
• access to and exchange with people interested and engaged in open data
• Opendata.ch/2019 T-shirt and stickers 🎉

All volunteers are invited to help us set up the conference at the venue in Bern-Wankdorf on the eve and then enjoy a dinner together. For minute-takers and session supporters, we will organise a workshop of about 2 hours in advance to prepare you for your role.
